Henri is 56 years old and spent most of his working life as a craftsman on building sites in Berlin and elsewhere.
Besides that he cultivated a decidedly odd kind of private life.
He has been active in the SM-scene for several years, and in 2004 he took over the former Bar Bizarr in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg, which since then has been known as HENRI’s. As a barkeeper he is in a “privileged” position to reflect upon the pitfalls of communication between the sexes.
Entrenched behind his counter, night by night Henri is observing the Berlin Love Life. The Love Life of the most avantgarde capital in sex and relationship. At this year’s xplore, Henri - as a renowned specialist in communication and perception – will publicly think about the future. Do we enter an age of better communication and the optimizing of sexual and emotional satisfaction? Or do we further deconstruct our dreams to an ultimate arbitrariness and just sell us even cheaper on the expanding market of desire. Do we look into a future of greater empathy or just improved self-marketing? Henri is pessimistic.
